> “In the footsteps of the miners”

The working of a colliery, the work and the social life of the miners will no longer have any secrets from you! Discover the surface installations, pass through the Industry Museum to the lamp-store, the shower-baths and the changing-room. The museum area of 8th August 1956 evokes, through immigration, the moments linked to this fateful day of the Marcinelle catastrophe in which 262 men lost their lives.

> “Once upon a time there was Walloon industry”

In the 19th century, Wallonia affirmed itself as one of the most industrialised regions in the world. The Industry Museum, through old machines, a film on industrial history and archive documents, plunges you back into this era. The in-depth visit of the museum is completed by a demonstration of the forge where you will rediscover the trades of yesteryear.

The Vray Canteen

The restaurant welcomes groups of up to 80 places, by reservation. “Le briquet” option: main course + dessert, 12€ or starter + main course + dessert, 18€. Drinks option, 8€: 1 glass of white wine + 2 glasses of red wine + mineral water.
